Darren had no idea that he wasn’t alone in the basement. A sudden series of frantic movements and sounds filled the air. Someone—or something—was desperately trying to reach Darren, its actions so determined, like it knew it was a matter of life and death. Beside him was the mysterious source of the sounds, still frantically jumping on his chest to get his attention. Janice and Matthew couldn’t believe what they were seeing. She quickly called 911, and paramedics arrived.
