Imagine you’re having a family reunion, catching up with some relatives. Family is still family, after all. But all of a sudden, a neighbor decides to crash it without wearing any clothes either!
An Uninvited Guest
Normally, they would be asked to vacate the property, but Leslie Kowash just couldn’t resist the uninvited guest’s charm. The pup that crashed the family reunion had only one goal in mind when he ventured over there.
Not The First Time
While he accepted pats and affection, his nose is pointing him to something much more attractive. This isn’t the first time that he’s wondered off to gatherings that had nothing to do with him. His owner noticed a clue that would give away what his dog had been getting up to.
Weight Gain
The dog had to have been obvious with his antics because when he wandered home, he would be a little larger than before. This must have been so much of a problem that his owner decided to put a special message on his tag.
In Search Of Food
Back To Leslie Kowash. Everyone at the gathering loves dogs, and they couldn’t resist giving the good boy some attention, but Kowash noticed something that seemingly not everyone had – his collar.
A Special Message
While giving the dog some pats, she saw a special plaque on the collar. It was striking enough to notice quite easily. There was a special message on the plaque meant for whoever the dog ended up with, but she couldn’t help but smile.
Don’t Feed Me
The plaque on the collar read, “Please don’t feed me, I’m getting too big, send me home.” It was a conflicting message, because the pup’s large eyes made it apparent that he was begging.
Respecting His Wishes
It seemed that the dog had done this one too many times, and his owner was sick and tired of having an overweight dog. Thankfully, Kowash respected the owner’s wishes and only gave the dog affection, not food.
Looking For Easy Targets
But as time went on, and the dog walked from person to person, she noticed something. Unfortunately, it seemed that not everyone at the gathering had the same courtesy as she did.
A Scrap Or Two
The dog new that he could find someone there that couldn’t resist his charms. He managed to get a scrap or two from some family members who must not have noticed the message on the collar. Still, at least he was happy.
Packing Things Up
The dog lingered at the gathering, hoping to get more food than affection, but when he saw that the family was packing away things, he took the hint and knew no more food was heading his way.
Going Home
Kowash watched as the dog, who had stayed with them for affection and food, knew he wasn’t getting any more of the latter and decided it was time to head home.
A Memorable Encounter
The dog may have head home, but we’re sure he left an impact on the family he visited. If he does this often, he’s probably made a few memorable encounters with his neighbors. We don’t know the dog’s name but whoever he is – he’s a good boy!
