We are all aware of the impact that us as human beings have had on our environment. The Southern California steelhead trout is one of the species that have had to face challenges as a result of environmental and man-made forces. Tgus, they were declared as an endangered species by the late 20th century.
In 2020, South Carolina had a flare-up of wildfires only aggravated further by very high temperatures, droughts as well and wind forces. Small silver fish fry were also spotted swimming majestically along the river edges. The rescue mission was a complete success due to the collaboration of many, even the local community, that banded together to save this precious species.
Creating Awareness
The next step was to create awareness surrounding the endangered species, so focus on the media covering this success story, as well as educational programs were initiated.
