Losing a pet is never easy, but for one woman, it led to an encounter she would never forget. She shared her story online, writing, “Almost two years ago, my kitty named Kali had a small litter of kittens. One of them, who I named Boo, I claimed as my own.”
The woman went on to say that she and the small tortoiseshell kitten soon developed a strong bond. “She was my little princess, and I always told myself I didn’t know what I would do if something were to happen to her,” she said.
The Garage Door
But one night, she decided to take the trash out. As she went outside, Boo came running around a corner, excited to join her. “The garage door was cracked, so my cats could go in and out freely as they pleased; it turns out, sometimes, that’s not the best thing for a cat.”
As Boo attempted to throw herself under the crack of the garage door, she hit herself against it and fell back. “I became hysterical when I realized she wasn’t moving,” she said. Sadly, the hit was fatal.
A Traumatic Experience
“It was the most traumatic, most bizarre experience I have ever had in my life.” But that wasn’t the only bizarre thing that happened. The very next day, a small stray black cat showed up on her doorstep.
“When I discovered him, he was laying on top of Boo’s grave. He was hungry and a little bit mangled, but all he wanted was to give me unconditional love,” she said. She soon found comfort in the small black cat.
She Took Him In
She refused to let him live outside all by himself and took him in. “You know what? He walked into my home like he had lived there forever,” she said.
“I don’t know where he came from or what his story is, but Shadow is the most amazing cat I’ve ever seen or owned, and I love him with all my heart.”
